The UOC Hockey 7's, inter university 7-a-side hockey tournament, was held on 11th Saturday at the Colombo University grounds. Tournament was organized by UOC for the second time while 15 men's and 7 women's teams featured in the event.
In women's category, UOP team entered the finals by beating USJP. UOP women's stylish stick work and the goal defense proved their supremacy in the game. Both teams were leveled on scores at full time, leading to the penalty shootout. PERA women were mentally, physically tough and were ahead of the game at the penalty shootout making their path clear to the finals.
In the Finals, UOP team was challenged by the host team, UOC. Crowd support and home advantage was not with PERA team, but their competitiveness and desire for glory brought them the prestigious UOC 7's championship victory. The scores were 1-0 in favor of UOP.

Men's Category, as usual, progressed with some grueling encounters. UOP made it to the semifinal stage comfortably and the opponents in the semis was UOR. PERA team showed their class by thrashing UOR 4-0.
In the finals, UOP was challenged by UOM. The match was an intense contest where attacking play was the dominant factor. Despite the brilliant play by PERA, they had to finish being Runners-up. UOP team lost the hard-fought match 1-0.
Overall, both women's and men's teams from UOP finished the tourney in grand style, bringing pride and glory for the University of Peradeniya.
