PERA 6's 2012 hockey tournament was organized by UOP, was held on tuesday 10th April at UOP hockey grounds. Tournament was organized for the third time and was categorized into two, school tournament and Inter University Tournament.

School tournament was postponed due to bad weather.

This being the only day and night hockey tournament in SL university history was a speciality.

In women's category, UOP(A) beat USJP by 3-1 in the finals. Nadeesha Nishamali (UOP) adjudged the best women's player. In men's category, finals was between UOP(A) and UOM(A). UOM(A) won 2-1 at penalty shootout. Nadeesha Fernando was adjudged the best men's player.

 

UOP teams fought with true sportsmanship to bring the victory home. Eventually, their sweat and toiling was rewarded as their beloved university was crowned with pride and honor.
